You Fed Three Orphans this Month!

At the beginning of last month, I added a “Give” button to this blog, with a promise that half of every donations would go to improve the blog, and the other half would support the hunger relief efforts of ricebowls.org, a worldwide ministry providing food to fifty eight faith-based orphanages in eight different countries.

Thanks to your generosity, I was able to work with a professional designer for a new logo for the site. We tried to incorporate the two basic tools of any through the Bible in a year reading plan: a calendar and an open Bible. The red reminds us that salvation is possible through the blood of Jesus, who died for our sins. We chose blue to remind us that a relationship with Jesus, beginning with repenting of your sins, surrendering your life to His authority, and identifying with His church through baptism. And the open Bible is green because the only way to grow in your relationship with Jesus is to open up His Word every day.

I really like our new logo, and I hope you like it too. After all, you paid for it. But here is what excites me even more: thanks to your generosity, you fed three orphans for the entire month of April. Because RiceBowls works with local farmers and suppliers, they are able to feed an orphan for a dollar a day. So with the $90 of donations in April, you fed three orphans!

Again, I want to emphasize that this blog will always be free. You will never be asked to pay for this content. But if you would like to help me improve it, as well as make a difference in the lives of orphans around the world, Please consider making a one time or recurring donation. And even if you choose not to support the blog, please consider going straight to ricebows.org and donate there. They are an amazing ministry and I am honored to partner with them. Let’s see how many kids we can feed this month!
